So what does this mean? Say good-bye to the 40 year Amortization! In what the Canadian Government is calling a guard against the US style housing bubble, a number of changes  are going to take place in the near future in the Canadian Mortgage market. Well, it seems as that the days of 100% financing and 40 year amortizations are numbered. Well it will be interesting to see if this causes an increase in housing sales and refinances as some pThe changes are set to take place October 15th, 2008. Some people may think that once they have found the house of their choice, their shopping days are over. Actually, choosing the house is only the first phase of the whole process. The next step is to find a home with payment terms that fit your budget. Thus, where you shop and what to look for are very important in this stage of home buying....
