Locking Stance: CAUTIOUSLY FLOATING Mortgage Bonds: +25bp Mortgage bonds seem to have pierced their resistance solidly at this point, breaking above their 25-day moving average despite stocks being higher and better than expected jobs data. I am changing my stance for now as bonds could be breaking the pattern and allowing floating to pay off. This is also perhaps why brokers charge high for closing fees. A percentage of the closing fee you pay on a mortgage goes to the mortgage broker's personal funds. This, along with a few more fees, stands as their salary....
