19 (Bloomberg) -- The Inter-American Development Bank, a Washington-based lender to Latin American and Caribbean countries, approved a $400 million loan for Hunt Oil Co.'s $3.9 billion liquefied-natural-gas project in Peru.Dec. Janet Napolitano said state agencies have reached agreements with lenders consistent with terms of a recently announced federal initiative.Gov. Major lenders in Arizona are agreeing to promote new "workout" arrangements to allow many borrowers to get more favorable mortgage terms. This is also perhaps why mortgage brokers charge high for closing fees. A percentage of the closing fee you pay on a mortgage goes to the mortgage broker's personal funds. This, along with a few more fees, stands as their salary....

As a mortgage broker in Boca Raton (located in south Palm Beach county), I am often asked to pre-approve homebuyers. Unfortunately, in a lot of cases, I find homebuyers, especially first time homebuyers are mislead by the "teaser" rates ... Make sure that the drop in interest rates is enough to make a refinance mortgage loan worthwhile....
