Alarmed by the high rate of foreclosures in a number of states, including Michigan, a consortium of mortgage bankers and community development organizations has initiated a public service campaign aimed at getting help for at-risk borrowers. The organizations include the Mortgage Lenders Association, NeighborWorks America and the Ad Council. Borrowers can stay involved with their mortgage dealings by applying for a mortgage online. With traditional mortgages, lenders may not give out enough information, leaving the practically in the dark throughout the whole process.
