During my time in mortgage offices, I have often heard loan officers say things like “Don’t request statements or verifications of income until ...Fraud abounds in the world, but sometimes it wears the mask of “don’t ask, don’t tell”. In most cases, banks usually close mortgage loans more quickly than a mortgage broker does. This is probably because a mortgage broker deals with two types of persons - the lender and the client. Resolving mortgage issues between these two is a time-consuming job....
